Singapore Is the First Place To See the Effects of ASUS and hoolah’s BNPL Partnership

ASUS has marked its first Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) partnership in Asia, as hoolah, the omni-channel BNPL ecosystem announce the agreement. The effects of this partnership will be first seen in Singapore, across all ASUS physical and online retail stores, with progressive rollouts planned for other markets in Asia Pacific. ASUS customers will be given a solution to pay later in a way that is flexible, convenient, and transparent.

Tapping on the appeal of BNPL services to the millennial and Gen Z segments, ASUS is further boosting its outreach to Gen Z consumers who are excited about technology and at the same time, need the necessary tech for their education needs and school setup, but prefer the flexibility of BNPL that can also help with their monthly budgeting.

From 30 July, ASUS customers will be able to split their purchases automatically into three monthly, interest-free repayments when they check out via hoolah in-store and online. This partnership aims to bring greater financial access to quality electronics in a responsible and financially sustainable manner.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be ASUS’s first Buy Now Pay Later partner in Asia to deliver a flexible and convenient BNPL service for their customers in Singapore and beyond. As hoolah expands across geographies, verticals and merchants, we are seeing a surge of younger consumers utilising hoolah to invest in quality products, and doing so responsibly. By allowing customers to split their purchases into three interest-free repayments, hoolah will be especially beneficial for students, or fresh graduates who might need to invest in a laptop or digital device for school and their first jobs,” Stuart Thornton, CEO of hoolah shares. “In this sense, we see a great synergy between our brands and the value we can deliver to help ASUS tap into this new demographic and their broader range of products and services. We’re excited to embark on this journey together with ASUS, ultimately unlocking growth, boosting conversion rates and driving customer satisfaction and loyalty in the region,” he adds.

Jimmy Lin, ASUS APAC Regional Head shares: “It is heartening to be able to make our products more accessible to the younger demographic with this partnership. We’re excited to be integrating hoolah’s BNPL expertise being the first mover in Asia, to deliver a seamless and consistent payment experience for our customers, whether they are shopping on our ASUS Online Store or at the physical ASUS Exclusive Store. It’s not just value we’re bringing to the younger consumers, but the convenience and freedom of being able to split their ASUS purchase into three interest-free repayments is something that we’re confident will be highly beneficial to all our customers.”
