One Global Partners With Mastercard to Streamline Online Checkout Experience With Click to Pay

Mastercard has joined forces with digital transformation and innovation company, One Global, to launch ‘Click to Pay’ (C2P) in Kuwait, under its Payment Service provider (PSP) license.

Mastercard’s Click to Pay offering aims to set “a new standard” for guest checkout transactions. The global payment leader explained that C2P looks to deliver a more consistent experience for consumers by making it easier, more secure, and faster to check out – without the need to enter card credentials or store sensitive information with various merchants.

Once enrolled, users can check out with their stored cards in their profile on any merchant supporting the service.

One Global has enabled Click to Pay for the purchase of digital gift cards and gaming vouchers, such as Amazon, Apple Cards, PlayStation, and Nintendo, as well as bill payments on one of their vertical markets, Og Money. The mobile financial service platform serves as a one-stop shop for gaming vouchers, entertainment cards, bill payments, top-ups, utilities, travel, and other digital services.

One Global has also revealed plans to expand the service into other countries and support more use cases with broader adoption across their platform.

This news does not mark the first time the two organisations have partnered. Mastercard also first collaborated with One Global as long ago as 2007 and has engaged during several different projects since. The most recent collaboration in 2022 aimed to provide tailored financial solutions to enable the issuance of digital mobile wallets in the Middle East and North Africa.

Streamlining the online checkout experience

One Global is a digital transformation and innovation company which specialises in fintech. Since its foundation in 2004, the company now boasts around 3.2 million customers and has built up a strong presence in more than 20 countries across MENA, East Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.

Erdem Çakar, country manager of Kuwait and Qatar for Mastercard, discussed the importance of the partnership: “Building on our relationship, we are delighted to join forces with One Global to deploy Click to Pay in Kuwait and beyond as we continue to offer seamless and frictionless payment experiences across the markets we serve.”

Mohammed Al Rashidi, founder and executive chairman of One Global, also commented: “At One Global, we are constantly on the lookout for ways to enhance our holistic digital financial services. The launch of C2P on Og Money in Kuwait offers an ideal opportunity to streamline the online checkout experience for our customers.”
