Blockchain Cryptocurrency Fintech World-Region-Country

November at The Fintech Times: Digital Currencies

This month at The Fintech Times our focus will be on one of the hottest topics in fintech right now: digital currencies.

It is a common misconception that digital currencies are solely cryptocurrencies: the term should be used in a broader sense. Looking to provide a deeper understanding of every digital currency avenue, The Fintech Times will be providing insights on blockchain, digital assets and tokens, cryptocurrencies and CBDCs.

Within each of these themes, The Fintech Times has reached out to experts to provide commentary and get differing points of view from across the industry and world. We will be looking at the impact of blockchain regulation and how the technology can be applied outside of crypto. The focus will then shift to looking at NFTs and digital tokens, debating how risky they are and if they are a temporary craze or here to stay. Cryptocurrencies will then be discussed: their sustainability alongside the biggest cryptos and their year in review. We will close out the month by looking at CBDCs and how the biggest regions in the world are looking to implement them – challenging the growing crypto popularity.

Plus, we will have our usual additional cycle of podcastswebinars and more to support our latest theme.

Webinars coming up include:

Digital Currencies – Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) – released Thursday 11th of November at 11am

By its name, a central bank digital currency (CBDC) is the virtual format of a fiat currency for a particular nation or region. But why is it such a popular term right now? With pilots going well in China and encouraging words from the Treasury in the UK, CBDCs are moving forward at a spectacular pace. This webinar seeks to examine the reasons behind such a demand, and ask what technology and regulatory factors need to be in place to support an efficient roll out.

Digital Currencies – Digitisation of Assets. – live Thursday 25th of November at 11am

Back when cash was king, it was what was underneath the mattress that counts. Now we can assign a digital value to the money – and even the mattress as well. But who is buying digital assets? And what assets in particular are doing well? From art to gaming, and everything in between, this webinar will look at the spectacular success of digital assets while examining what sectors are set to fly, and others that could potentially fall.

Stay tuned for more digital currency announcements at The Fintech Times this November.
