Fintech Marketeer Nicola Vidal Joins VibePay

Fintech marketing heavyweight Nicola Vidal has joined mobile peer-to-peer payments app VibePay as the new CMO. With over 19 years of experience from growing challenger brands such as giffgaff, ClearScore and Wonga, she will be launching VibePay with young entrepreneur Luke Massie in September.

Nicola is joining VibePay as the company is gearing up for launch, after being granted authorisation from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) last month.

Nicola Vidal commented:

“This is a very exciting time to join VibePay and an amazing opportunity to work with an innovative challenger brand who puts their consumers at the forefront of their product. I can’t wait to launch later this year.”

VibePay was founded by young entrepreneur Luke Massie, and has quickly gained a lot of interest from young followers on social media. The mobile peer-to-peer payments app – which will allow users to organise events and request money from friends – has been designed with the help and input from the Vibe Community.

Luke Massie, CEO and founder of VibePay, said:

“Nicola understands marketing to a young audience and the power of communities better than anyone. I’m so excited to welcome her to VibePay, just in time for launch.”

Vibe Pay was founded in early 2018 when changes to the Open Banking legislation allowed regulated businesses to access UK banks’ payments infrastructure. Users can send and receive money instantly by linking their bank account securely via open banking technology.
