February at The Fintech Times: GameTech 2022

2021 was the year for NFTs, being named Collins Dictionary‘s word of the year, but as we head into 2022, what else is in store for them? We aim to discuss this and much more this February at The Fintech Times as we delve into the rapidly evolving world of gametech.

Gaming has come a long way since the days of collecting spare change and heading to the local arcade with friends. Not only are we now able to access games on screens in the comfort of our own homes, but we are now entering a time where boundaries are being broken with technology enabling us to experience different realities.

In light of this, this month we are aiming to cover the latest tech in gaming: taking a deep dive into the metaverse and NFTs, how new experiences are being brought to life through VR/AR technology and if depictions we have seen in sci-fi films of a virtual world could soon become a reality. We will then pivot to look at the influencers impacting the gaming market – how are celebrities getting involved and how will brands co-exist in the metaverse.

With the global gaming market being worth $173.9billion, we will also be analysing the latest paytech in gaming: why it’s so important, the impacts of the pandemic, fraud, and predictions for the future. The month will conclude by analysing another skyrocketing sector of the industry: eSports. Sitting down with competitors, viewers, and those behind the scenes, we will look to uncover the future of eSports, and what could lead to more mainstream adoption.

Plus, we will have our usual additional cycle of podcastswebinars and more to support our latest theme.

Webinars coming up include:
