Stockholm to Host Inaugural Women in Tech Regatta With Zimpler and Spotify

Fintech Zimpler and Spotify have joined forces to back Stockholm’s inaugural Women in Tech Regatta this October to help drive positive change, innovation and workplace diversity in the tech industry.

The Women in Tech (WiT) Regatta promises attendees access to mentors, peers, resources and the power of community. It aims to educate, motivate, and foster career growth opportunities in the tech business.

Founded in 2013 in Seattle, WiT is a not-for-profit organisation with a dedication to empowering women in the tech field. It also hosts regattas in Vancouver, Amsterdam and Seattle.

The conference offers panel discussions with a diverse group of participants, provide networking opportunities with influential figures in the tech industry, and allocate dedicated time during each session for attendees to connect, build relationships, and share experiences and ideas, with the intention of facilitating productive interactions.

Melody Biringer, connection engineer and WiT Regatta creator, says: “The success of Swedish startups such as Spotify and Zimpler has turned Stockholm into a world-renowned tech hub. Stockholm has bred more tech unicorns per capita. It’s natural for WiT Regatta to come to Stockholm.

Sessions will include

  • Relationships are the true currency
  • Diversity by design
  • Myth-busting tech trends
  • Navigating uncertainty and burnout
  • Fuelling creativity with generative AI

“Zimpler is proud to host the inaugural Stockholm Women in Tech Regatta together with Spotify.” says Abel Buko, sustainability manager at Zimpler. “Zimpler wants to be a positive force in the spheres where we are a stakeholder, such as the payments industry, the labour market, and the Stockholm tech hub.

“We are an extensively diversified and globalised team, but we can always improve even further and the conference will help us learn a lot. Our goal is for everyone to be seen, heard and to walk away from this week with new ideas and relationships.”
