SME Payment Struggles Tackled by Clear Books and Revolut Business’ Paytech Solution

Clear Books and Revolut Business announce a new partnership to provide their customers with the latest paytech, in addition to open banking, enabling them to have a quick and easy means of managing their small business’ finances with a click-to-pay-option.

The new integration provides customers with an easy-to-use draft payment facility within Clear Books online accounting software so that customers can make quick payments and run their payroll with ease using their Revolut Business account.

Offering deeper integration, Clear Books is a great choice for small business customers who are looking to take control of their small business admin.

The new integration has also been added to Revolut’s Marketplace where Revolut Business customers can get 50% off Clear Books for six months when they sign up. Revolut customers can try Clear Books and the new feature by signing up for a free 30-day trial via the Revolut Business Marketplace. From there, customers will be able to connect their Revolut account to Clear Books and see how easy it is to manage bills and payroll directly from their online accounting software with just a few clicks.

To use this feature, customers should connect their Clear Books and Revolut Business accounts, and select the bills in Clear Books that need to be paid. Clear Books sends the bills as ‘draft payments’ directly to their Revolut Business account, for the user to review and approve the payments initiated from Clear Books with just one click.

How it works:

  1. Click ‘Pay bills’ and select the bills you wish to pay in Clear Books
  2. Review the details of the bills
  3. When you’re ready to pay click ‘Submit draft payment’
  4. Once you click on the ‘Revolut Business account’ link, Clear Books will transfer you directly to your Revolut Business account to quickly review and send the payment. 1/3 With this integration, users can choose up to 20 bills to be paid at once using a Revolut Business account, with the functionality even allowing for over 170 multi-currency payments at no extra cost. This integration is completely free to use and also supports employee salaries being paid swiftly and with ease.

Ruth Fouracre, Clear Books CEO said: “Small businesses can face an overwhelming amount of business admin. By allowing users to create draft payments directly from Clear Books, we’re removing the admin burden of rekeying all that information into Revolut to make the payments. Together, we’re making bill and payroll payments quicker and easier for small businesses so they can get back to doing the things they enjoy most.”

James Gibson, Head of Product at Revolut Business said: “We’re focused on building innovative products that help businesses save precious time and money. Our partnership with Clear Books does just this – allowing customers to set up draft payments directly from Clear Books in a couple of taps. Going forward we see a huge opportunity for the automation of basic tasks by using the power of APIs.”
