Salom Card Launched by TBC Bank Uzbekistan, Improving Financial Management

TBC Bank Uzbekistan (TBC UZ), the mobile-only bank, has created a new entry point into its ecosystem to offer customers a new range of benefits previously unavailable on the market with the launch of its Salom Card.

The TBC UZ Salom Card will initially be released exclusively for waiting list subscribers, with full rollout to follow shortly. It marks a significant milestone in the bank’s strategy of expanding its digital financial services. All the while, it continues to drive customer and revenue growth.

Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Group operations in Uzbekistan, commented: “Salom Card is set to become the central element of our digital banking and financial services ecosystem, through which users can handle all their daily banking needs via an easy-to-use and accessible digital interface. This product will drive our customer growth. It will also enable us to better understand our customers and their needs. In turn, we will develop and launch relevant new products and services as we expand our product offering.”

Salom Card will complement other fintechs in the TBC UZ digital banking ecosystem: a digital payments app for individuals and small businesses, Payme; and Payme Nasiya, an instalment finance business.

As the core product, Salom Card will enable users to seamlessly engage with the wider product offering within the ecosystem, and serve as an additional channel to drive customer growth and engagement.

Benefits from managing finances

Salom Card will be available free-of-charge to customers over the age of 18 and easily accessible through the TBC mobile app. Consequently, this will provide users with a convenient and secure way to manage their finances. It will be the first daily banking product on the market to provide customers with a range of additional benefits,

Some benefits of a Salom Card include:

  • 12 per cent interest on balances
  • free cash top-ups
  • free ATM withdrawals
  • five per cent cashback with partner merchants. The range of companies providing cashbacks are services that consumers use every day in Uzbekistan.
