The successful candidate will need experience with SQL, including knowledge on relational database systems, along with experience using Python, including the use of data manipulation, cleansing and data mining techniques. Knowledge, both theoretical and applied, in developing, monitoring and improving statistical models is important, as are strong problem solving skills, a passion for metrics and data, and the ability to get into the details while seeing and understanding the bigger commercial picture.

Broadridge are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their team based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing products, working to the company’s development standards, while fixing defects found by the Quality Assurance (QA) department and the clients. They will add new features as defined in the requirements document published by the product manager or business analyst, while also quality checking and code reviewing other team member’s code and specifications prior to release.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing and supporting enterprise scale systems that have high performance and scalability requirements, along with Java 8+ and senior-level proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and networking concepts. They will need to have extensive experience of developing with one or more of PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle RDBMS.
