GoodBox Partners With Pret A Manger to Support Cashless Fundraising in Shops for Homeless Charities

GoodBox, the fintech helping charities thrive in a digital world, has partnered with Pret A Manger to offer their award-winning contactless devices in shops across Manchester and London to support existing cash fundraising for The Pret Foundation. Locations include Cross Street in Manchester and the iconic Kings Road in London.

The trial was launched at the beginning of October and is proving popular with Pret customers, as donations through the contactless devices have already exceeded previous cash donations. Since its launch total donations in participating stores have increased by 122%.

The aim of the Pret Foundation is the alleviation of poverty, hunger and homelessness – its work supports many charities in this sector. This World Homelessness Day the charity is keen to maximise its fundraising by offering both cash and contactless donation points.

Andrea Wareham, Chief People Officer at Pret A Manger said: “For the last 25 years, The Pret Foundation has been dedicated to helping those experiencing homelessness up and down the country. This year more than ever, they need our help and that is why we chose to partner with GoodBox to ensure our customers have every opportunity to continue their generous donations by utilising the impressive GoodBox contactless devices in our stores.”

GoodBox supports the charity sector by providing charities with a range of digital fundraising tools and award-winning contactless technology. Its tools help charity partners to reach new donors, raise more funds and tell their stories more vividly.

GoodBox Co-Founder & Managing Director Francesca Hodgson said: “It is amazing to see the generosity of the UK public even during this difficult period and we are delighted to be able to support the Pret Foundation to bolster their fundraising ahead of World Homelessness Day. As an increasing number of donors don’t carry cash, a contactless donation point is an essential part of any modern fundraising campaign.
