Information About Bahrain FinTech Bay and Khalid Dannish

Bahrain FinTech Bay (“BFB”) is a leading fintech hub in the Middle East, located in the Arcapita Building in the capital and largest city of Bahrain – Manama. Bahrain FinTech Bay provides a physical hub to incubate insightful, scalable and impactful FinTech initiatives through innovation labs, acceleration programs, curated activities, educational opportunities and collaborative platforms. Bahrain FinTech Bay partners with governmental bodies, financial institutions, corporates, consultancy firms, universities, associations, media agencies, venture capital and FinTech startups to bring the full spectrum of financial market participants and stakeholders together.

Khalid Dannish is the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain FinTech Bay. Khalid has 7 years of international experience in investment banking risk management focusing on market risk at J.P. Morgan and Barclays Capital in London and Bank ABC in Bahrain.

Most recently, he was Vice President in the firm-wide market risk team at J.P. Morgan overseeing all spread and macro businesses, leading teams in London and New York. He was engaged in strategic risk technology projects, including migrating to a new risk analytics cross-platform suite and leading one of the first pilot applications of the robotics initiatives, promising opportunities to drive new value through automation and insight.

Prior to J.P. Morgan, he was leading the business analysis and project management delivery for the FX business, facilitating flow and exotics enhancement programmes at Barclays Capital. He has also worked for an investment advisory delivering fund performance analysis and recommendations to assist in advisory decisions for institutional clients seeking investment management and cross-asset class fund selection. Khalid holds an MSc. in Investment Management and a BSc in Investment & Financial Risk Management from Cass Business School, London.
