Fintech Awards London 2024: Nominations Now Open

Fintech Awards London, the annual event celebrating and recognising outstanding achievements within London’s vibrant fintech sector, is now accepting nominations for its third annual ceremony.

This year’s awards promise to be a grand celebration, bringing together fintech professionals and companies that have made significant contributions to the UK’s capital and the fintech industry as a whole.

Sixteen awards are up for grabs at Fintech Awards London 2024, including ‘Fintech Startup of the Year’, ‘Fintech Leader of the Year’, ‘Best Fintech Collaboration’ and ‘Rising Fintech Star’.

Other categories will recognise fintechs that have delivered innovation through a particular product or service, accelerators or incubators that have demonstrated success in helping fintech or AI startups to launch their businesses, and companies that have used digital technologies to address social issues and challenges over the last year.

This year’s event

The Fintech Awards London 2024 Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday 12 June 2024 at The Underglobe beneath the iconic Globe Theatre at London’s Bankside. This unique venue will provide the perfect backdrop for an evening of networking, recognition, and inspiration.

“In the heart of the fintech revolution, London has become a global hub for financial technology, and Fintech Awards London is the perfect platform to recognise those visionaries, leaders, and game-changers who are shaping the future of finance,” said Matt Hyde, managing director of Fintech Awards London.

Nominations are open now until 11pm on 8 March 2024. The judging panel, including two new co-chairs – Janine Hirt, CEO of Innovate Finance, plus one to be announced soon, will study the entries.

Hirt also commented: “The FinTech London Awards are a great opportunity to recognise and shine a spotlight on the transformative power of fintech. As we continue to drive the growth and competitiveness of the UK as a global FinTech investment destination, I am honoured to be judging awards which recognise companies and leaders shaping the future of fintech.”

Zopa, Banked and Smart Pension were among the winners at last year’s Fintech Awards London 2023, while Gerard Grech, founding chief executive of Tech Nation and a long-standing adviser to the UK government on tech and digital policies, was also recognised for his personal outstanding contribution to the fintech industry.
