EBO.ai Launches Virtual Assistant ‘Oliver’ to Help Navigate GDPR

New bot is part of EBO.ai’s SpeakGDPR project aimed at making regulations accessible and understandable.

EBO.ai, the artificial intelligence company optimising customer interactions, has announced the launch of its new GDPR-focused virtual assistant ‘Oliver’. Part of EBO.ai’s SpeakGDPR project, Oliver will help people understand the ins and outs of GDPR by making knowledge more accessible.

A year since its initial implementation, GDPR offers EU citizens significant control over how their data can be collected, used and stored. But as with many important acts of legislation, as noble as they may be, it’s only once citizens fully understand their rights that legislators’ good intentions can be realised. SpeakGDPR therefore aims to make GDPR much more accessible by sharing complex legal concepts through simplified, straightforward conversations with Oliver.

Created using EBO.ai’s virtual assistant technology, Oliver can answer complex questions 24/7 and empowers users to easily get information about GDPR. It can also help corporations and businesses deal with GDPR questions that their clients are asking, which will improve the interactions between these two groups.

Oliver provides a perfect example of what can be done with AI bots.  Artificial intelligence is moving at an incredible speed as more and more businesses reengineer their processes and transform their businesses using this technology. Conversations can take place at scale, at any time, thus automating customer relations and saving significant time and costs.

Rhys Powell, UK Managing Director of EBO.ai, comments:

“At EBO.ai we believe that Artificial Intelligence is deeply changing the fabric of business as we know it, and our products are built around a commitment to helping businesses get closer to their customers. We are offering leading-edge solutions that help our customers capture new value from their customer-service channels and digital touch points, and improve the end-user experience too.

Oliver is an excellent example of how AI can be harnessed to make complex ideas and regulations understandable and accessible for everyone, with 24/7 availability. This is just a fraction of what AI can do, but helping people understand their data rights is an important mission which we’re proud to have undertaken.”
