Announced on April 2nd, at the 2019 ICMA (International Card Manufacturing Association) Expo in Orlando, Florida, the ICMA have presented Burgopak with an award of excellence for their industry challenging packaging design.

Recognised industry-wide as the most renowned platform for Cards and Payments, the Elan Awards rewards recognition to the best of the best in the cards industry for innovation and world-class achievements in card design, technological advancements and exceptional consumer experience.

In the running at the Elan awards were Burgopak’s packaging designs for the Curve Metal, the MCO Visa Metal by, and Alan Insurance. In tough contention for first place, it was finally announced at the Elan Awards that Burgopak won an award of excellent in the category of Personalisation & Fulfilment for it’s innovative packaging designs for the MCO Visa card by With it’s unique hexagonal design and powerful consumer touchpoints, represent the height of customer experience and product enhancement.

Competing with hundreds of entries from North America, MEA, Asia and Europe, Burgopak was applauded for it’s distinction in engineering advancement and commitment to quality design, launching Payments card brands to the forefront of the industry.

Burgopak was honoured amongst some of the leading brands in Cards and Payments, including winning designs from Starbucks, taking first and second finalist behind Burgopak in the category of Personalisation and Fulfilment, and the People’s choice award, as well as winning entries from Goldpac, Idemia, and American Express.
