News & Views | Episode 166: TSB Emergency Flee Fund, iDenfy Face Authentication & allpay Rewards

On this week’s episode of News & Views, The Fintech Times podcast team speak about how TSB is helping 23 domestic abuse survivors a month with its emergency flee fund, iDenfy‘s face authentication check enabling firms to onboard new customers quickly and securely & how allpay has added a new local gift card to its range on its reward and recognition platform, following a successful pilot.

The conversation kicked off this week with the podcast team exploring TSB’s emergency flee fund. Polly notes how TSB is a perfect example of how a financial organisation can do good outside of a classic finance offering. She notes that helping survivors of domestic abuse isn’t necessarily what a bank does, but the fact TSB is, shows how an organisation in the industry can go above and beyond. Tom and Francis echo these thoughts, praising the bank and its flee fund.

Following this, the podcast team turn their attention to the fraud sector and how iDenfy’s new face authenticator is helping organisations onboard consumers. One of the topics they discuss is the extent at which AI and technology are being used by fraudsters. They also touch on how much friction is needed in a consumer’s onboarding to ensure a company is being as seamless as possible while doing their due diligence.

Lastly, Polly, Tom and Francis review allpay’s new local gift card range. The three agree that any way that people can support local businesses is good and encouraging employees to work well with gift card incentives is sure to be more effective than a ‘pizza Friday’.
