Latest Fintech Jobs New This Week: 02/02

If you’re planning to change jobs in 2022, then you have certainly come to the right place. Our lovely job board is set to be bursting with amazing opportunities this year, and we’re excited to share them with you!

This week, we’re shining a bit of a spotlight on some of the brilliant fintech companies that are hiring over the coming months, so be sure to check them out…

Monzo

At Monzo, they’re building a new kind of bank. One that lives on a user’s smartphone and is built for the way we live today. By solving problems, treating people fairly and being totally transparent, Monzo believes they can make banking better. Monzo is a bank you’d be proud to use – and that means bringing together a talented team with diverse experiences, backgrounds and skills. They believe there should be an alternative to the banking of the past: and they’re focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products, making financial life simpler, and giving users total control from their smartphone.

Internally, Monzo encourages an open, collaborative, inclusive working environment. They contribute to open source software, and continually engage with their wonderful community. They’re hiring talented, creative problem-solvers to help them build the bank of the future.

Less than 5 minutes walk from Liverpool Street, they are a team of just over 1600 people building a bank. They take care of everything from regulation, to app development, to card distribution, and more, so there really is a role for everyone.

Check them out now…

Freetrade

Freetrade’s mission is to get everyone investing. As the first challenger stockbroker to disrupt the £1.2 trillion UK retail investment market through their innovative app, technology is at the heart of what they do. They bring simple, low-cost investing to everyone, removing traditional barriers to entry and democratising the world of investing. They enable customers to buy and sell shares, ETFs, and investment trusts, with no commission. Freetrade completed our Series B funding round last year, bringing their total fundraising to over £60m, and they are only just getting started…

Freetrade recently launched new revenue streams such as their ‘Plus’ Freemium model, and self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs), on top of existing Individual Savings Account (ISA) offering. They’re scaling fast, growing from 250,000 users in 2020 to onboarding our 1 millionth customer in October 2021.

Their team is currently just over 200 people globally, and they are proud to say each and every one of them embodies 5 core values: Candour, Curiosity, Grit, Focus, and Humility. They are on track to double headcount year-on-year, as they drive international expansion in London, Brisbane, Stockholm, and Vancouver, and hire people who share their values!

If this sounds like somewhere you could call home, head over to their page and check out all the brilliant job opportunities now.

Klarna

Klarna was founded in 2005 in Stockholm, Sweden with the aim of making it easier for people to shop online. In the last 15 years, technology has evolved, excited, and transformed the world around us, yet their mission remains as relevant as ever – to make paying as simple, safe and above all, smooth as possible.

Klarna is now one of Europe’s largest banks and is providing payment solutions for 90 million consumers across more than 250,000 merchants in 17 countries. Klarna offers direct payments, pay after delivery options and instalment plans in a smooth one-click purchase experience that lets consumers pay when and how they prefer to. At Klarna, they’re in the middle of what they call their ‘moment’. They are revolutionising shopping, payments, and banking. And the world is taking note. But it doesn’t come easy. They have to be brave enough to take risks. Bold enough to fail. And, unreasonable enough to accept nothing but the best.

In the years since their founding, they have become Europe’s highest valued private fintech (and 4th highest worldwide). And they’re growing their turnover by 40% each year. Which makes trying new things out and the freedom to explore not just a reality. But a necessity. Today, they have over 5,000 employees and hire more than 3,000 people a year – and you could be one of them! Their offices are spread over 3 continents and are staffed by 100+ nationalities. And their shared experience is one that is as diverse and collaborative as it is impactful, dependable, and rewarding.

Klarna has a wide range of open roles in the UK, from finance to marketing, and beyond.
