Youth Reimagine the Future of Fintech for Saudi Art Competition

Fintech Saudi, an initiative established by the Saudi Central Bank and the Capital Markets Authority to further facilitate the growth of the fintech industry in Saudi Arabia, has launched the Fintech Saudi Youth Art Competition.

Anyone living in Saudi Arabia who is under the age of 16 years old is encouraged to submit their artwork to The Fintech Saudi Youth Art Competition; which is due to run from the 15th of June 2021 to the 15th of July 2021. Their creativity must relate to the theme of “Living in the Future”, which seeks to identify what the future of fintech will look like for Saudi Arabia.

The three most creative entries will each receive a cash prize of SAR 5,000 (~$1333). And the winners can also look forward to having their artwork displayed in Fintech Saudi’s soon-to-be-launched Fintech Hub in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), Riyadh.

“Our National Youth Art Competition aims to introduce concepts such as fintech and financial literacy to our youth in a fun and engaging way. Creativity is a key skill that our youth will require in the future of the workplace,” comments Nejoud Almulaik, Director of Fintech Saudi. “We therefore want children to use the art competition to imagine and prepare artwork related to what it would be like living in the future. This could include areas such as what jobs will they do, what will they do for fun, where will they travel etc. Whilst children are preparing their artwork, we encourage parents and guardians to talk to their children about how they will pay for things and how they will save and earn money in the future.”

Participants can prepare their artwork on either paper or through a digital format. Parents and Guardians can upload the artwork to the competition website and share the link with friends and family that can up-vote the artwork. The entries with the most up-votes will be shortlisted and a judging panel will select a winner in the three categories; under 7 years, 7 to 11 years, and 11 to 16 years.
