Women in Tech Awards Nominations Deadline Fast Approaching

The Women in Tech Awards is Ireland’s first annual celebration of women and diversity in the technology industry and the deadline for nominations is fast approaching. Nominations for the Women in Tech Awards, whose goal is to drive diversity and narrow the gender gap in tech, close on September 28th.

The WTA’s purpose is to promote the success of female influencers in the tech industry, who in turn, can stimulate further dialogue around equality and inspire the millions of female tech enthusiasts around the world to become leaders in their own right.

Organised by Dublin Tech Summit (DTS), the Women In Tech Awards came about as a result of the success of the Women In Tech programme which aimed to create gender balanced technology events.

The nomination process for the Women In Tech Awards is completely free, in order to turn the spotlight on the incredible talent of women in the tech industry. The goal is to celebrate groundbreaking achievements that are happening every day and nominations are needed in order to give recognition to the women who deserve it. It’s hoped that high profile events like these will inspire the next generation of female leaders and trailblazers in the technology industry.

The judges (who include The Fintech Times’ very own Katia Lang!) will review each nomination carefully and will grade according to the suitability and alignment with the criteria laid out across numerous categories. Nominees will be contacted about a month before the awards to be told whether or not they have been shortlisted. All shortlisted nominees will then be invited to the Women In Tech Awards.

The Fintech Times wholeheartedly supports the Women In Tech Awards as it promotes a subject very close to our hearts. To read more on the wonder women of fintech, follow this link
