TrueLayer Speeds Up Payouts for BetCity’s Players

TrueLayer, the European open banking platform, has joined forces with Dutch-based betting and gaming platform BetCity to deliver instant payouts for customers.

European research by TrueLayer and YouGov suggests instant payouts could help operators win and keep more customers. One in four players surveyed said they would consider depositing more if they could withdraw their winnings instantly. While more than half said they were likely to switch to a online gaming service that offers instant withdrawals.

Using TrueLayer integrated with Bragg Gaming’s PAM iGaming platform, BetCity can quickly push funds to the player’s account. BetCity offers products including sports betting, slot games and live casino.

Robert Kooiman, marketing director at BetCity said: “Today, it takes more than cash incentives to keep players coming back – customer experience is key. While players in the Netherlands are used to instant pay-ins, payouts have always been problematic, with traditional bank transfers taking up to three days to reach customers. Our players have told us they want fast payouts and our partnership with TrueLayer means we can now deliver it.”

Ted Stanley, TrueLayer country manager – Netherlands, also added: “Nowadays, players are used to doing everything in an instant — but after the thrill of the win, they’re often left waiting days to reap their rewards. In an increasingly competitive landscape, instant payouts are becoming a must-have for European operators. We’re delighted to partner with BetCity to bring open banking technology to payouts, delivering an instant experience for players.”

It’s a busy month for the open banking platform with a trio of partnership announcements. It recently forged a new partnership with NAGA, the European social trading platform. It has also teamed up with cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase to offer ‘Easy Bank Transfer’ for UK customers. At the start of the month, it teamed up with Irish payments firm StrikePay, a tipping provider in Ireland.
