A successful partnership is often the reason behind so many high flyers in fintechs growth areas. And with 2020 propelling the market forwards in terms of digital payment adoption and the demand for real-time payments, it’s no surprise that big names such as Visa, Mastercard, Railsbank and more, have rapidly increased their number of partnerships this year – both in the UK and around the world.
Throughout October, both in print and online, The Fintech Times highlighted some of the partnerships that have made 2020 such a standout year in terms of payments and partnerships. With a global emphasis now on business and consumer connections, the media outlet continues to celebrate some of the UK’s most successful duos.
Therefore, The Fintech Times is pleased to announce that as fintechs only newspaper, it will sponsor the Best Partnership Initiative category at the Emerging Payment Awards, organised by the Emerging Payments Association, later this month.
Now in its 13th year, the 2020 Emerging Payment Awards will take place virtually on the 26th November, with comedy host Sara Pascoe in the hot seat and plans for other celebs to make cameo appearances. Not forgetting an insightful fireside chat with Marion King, Group Director of Payments for NatWest, and of course those all-important awards.
While a move to a virtual award ceremony might make logistics easier for some, the EP Awards has had the daunting task of making sure those numerous networking opportunities still go ahead. Networking is often a useful tool at these types of events, and the team have announced their solution. Targeted matchmaking has been made available through a 1:1 networking programme, Brella, with attendance free of charge. Brella goes live on Monday the 23rd of November, so there are now possibilities for a whole week’s worth of networking, not just an afternoon.
The awards are backed by sponsors such as Mastercard, GPS, Paynetics, PPS and Trust Payments. Plus, as this year has been somewhat challenging for us all, a percentage of this year’s ticket sales will go towards the charity MIND.
The finalists for the Best Partnership Initiative award include:
- Banking Circle – Cardstream
- Lloyds Bank – I-safe
- Osper
- PPS – Monese
- Vitesse PSP Ltd
A final decision as to who will take home the trophy will be made on the afternoon with the winner’s award presented by Mark Walker, Editorial Director at The Fintech Times.
About the EP Awards
Despite the challenges and setback of a global pandemic, many achievements have been made across the world of payments. The EP Awards will help to celebrate them through the Best Partnership Initiative, as sponsored by The Fintech Times.
As host, Sara Pascoe the award-winning comedian and writer will be setting the tone. She is the writer, star and executive producer of the BBC series, ‘Out of Her Mind,’ and host of ‘Guessable’ (Comedy Central) and ‘Comedians Giving Lectures’ (Dave). It’s expected that Sara will also be joined by other celebrity cameos throughout the event. And there’s still plenty of those all-important networking opportunities still to have thanks to Brella.
If you would like to join The Fintech Times for an afternoon of celebration and entertainment, plus a week’s worth of networking, make sure to register for the EP Awards – it’s free.
