Emerging from the shadows of the much-maligned initial coin offering (ICO), the STO and the tokenised security (see here for the distinction) rest at the intersection where the blockchain and tangible assets meet. The digitisation of assets and funding raising through the issuance of STOs hold myriad opportunities for investors both institutional and retail.
This week, the Grand Connaught Hotel in London’s Holborn played host to two days of panels, pitches and spirited discussion of all things STO. STRealised sought to establish a greater understanding of security tokens and their uses, as well as shining a light on some of the fledgling field’s early innovators.
The conference was rounded out with an award ceremony hosted by TFT CEO Katia Lang and US Capital Global’s Jeffrey Sweeney which gave centre stage to an assortment of bright sparks and their tokenised offerings…
