Shift4 to Drive Business Growth for Phos Merchants With Acquiring and Payment Processing Services

Firms, especially small and medium businesses (SMEs) must be very smart with their resources. Spending excessively on point-of-sale (POS) terminals can be costly but remains essential for any business to function. Looking to improve payment processing capabilities for merchants and remove this hurdle, Shift4, the commerce and payments firm has partnered with Phos, the software POS (softPOS) orchestration platform.

Through this new partnership, Phos merchants will gain access to Shift4’s global acquiring services and payment processing capabilities through Phos’ innovative solution, which turns any mobile device into a payment terminal. This will enable them to accept and process payments using global card schemes and digital wallets – such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Samsung Pay – anywhere, anytime, in real time.

SoftPOS technology is a rapidly emerging solution in Europe, representing one of just a few ready-to-deploy solutions for modern payment needs. By transforming any mobile device into a contactless payment terminal, Phos’ SoftPOS, which is accredited to the industry’s highest security standards, offers merchants an efficient and flexible method for handling payments and facilitates smoother transactions without the need for traditional POS systems and hardware.
