New Podcast Coming Soon to The Fintech Times: Searching for Mana

The Fintech Times is proud to announce the launch of its new podcast, Searching for Mana, presented by Lloyd Wahed. The first episode is due to debut on Tuesday the 9th of February at 5am GMT.

Searching for Mana is a podcast focused on tech innovation in finance – Fintech. Each week, Lloyd meets with some of the influencers, leaders and founders in the tech and finance space, from unicorn companies to financial disruptors.

A London-born tech entrepreneur, Wahed is the CEO of Mana Search, and enjoys a key relationship with a number of unicorn technology scale-ups. As a headhunter, his day job includes matching world class talent in fintech to many of the challengers and startups you might hear in his podcast.

Lloyd is a captivating podcast host and has previously interviewed high profile guests such as PensionBee Founder and CEO Romina Savova, Rapid Cash at NatWest CEO Julie Ashmore Dann and Richard Davies (CEO of Allica Bank, Non-Executive Director at Revolut).

He said, “With over 15-years experience of working as a headhunter, the evolution of technology can really impact the search for work. With my connections across the industry, I hope to showcase the challenges and opportunities that fintech must address by offering up unique insights and stimulating conversations.”

Alongside insight in fintech, the focus of Searching for Mana will include interviews with the latest key appointments, industry events and great guests. The series is co-hosted by Mana Search, R&D Labs Co-Founder, Mimi Nguyen

What does Mana mean?

“Mana” is a Maori word that means power, authority or prestige. It’s a mystical superpower that can be transmitted or inherited, and is a concept that Lloyd and Mimi use to get to heart of what their guests are able to talk about.

Mark Walker, Editorial Director at The Fintech Times, added, “The Fintech Times continues to evolve its media output driven by the diverse needs of our audience. We are the only fintech publication to distribute a physical newspaper, and now we’re delighted to welcome Lloyd and Mimi with their Searching for Mana podcast as part of our exclusive content.”

You can listen to the first episode of Searching for Mana via our podcast section from Tuesday morning, featuring Matus Maar from Talis Capital.
