Last Chance to Join The Card & Payments Awards 2023

The Card & Payments Awards comes of age… have you secured your place at the must-attend event’s 18th birthday celebration in 2023?

The Card & Payments Awards (TCPA) returns to London on Thursday 2 February 2023, for what promises to be another unforgettable evening at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House.

For 18 years, The Card & Payments Awards have recognised industry excellence and innovation, and are instrumental in acknowledging success and achievement in the payments arena.

Judged by an independent panel of renowned industry experts, each year, around 100 eligible organisations from a diverse range of payment ecosystem players compete for one of the most prestigious awards in the industry.

Now open to international companies who offer programmes or initiatives within the UK market, the award categories cater for credit, debit, prepaid and charge card issuers, co-brands, merchant acquirers, payment processors and other payments companies.

Retailers too are eligible to showcase achievements concerning payments-related products and services through a range of key categories, offering successful organisations the opportunity to significantly enhance consumer-facing communications.

Supporting the industry for almost two decades, The Card & Payments Awards remain the UK and Ireland’s leading networking event for the card and payments sector – welcoming a compelling list of blue-chip sponsors and over 1,000 guests on the night from over 300 different companies.

And while entries for 2023 have now closed, there’s still time to join the party and experience why The Card & Payments Awards continues to be the UK and Ireland’s premium awards event.

Tables at The Card & Payments Awards accommodate 10 people and provide a great opportunity to celebrate the successes of the industry with your team, clients, peers and colleagues. If you are looking for an amazing evening of networking, while gathering valuable industry information in relation to the programmes and products that are working the best and wowing consumers and business partners alike, then this is the event for you.

“Industry awards showcase the best achievements and advances that the industry offers,” says The Card & Payments Awards judge, Chris Harris. “Finalists represent the best in their industry and to win a category is to be acknowledged as the best in that area. In a highly competitive – arguably hyper-competitive – innovative and fast-growing market such as payments, gaining recognition as a benchmark for the industry sets you apart not just in the eyes of your customers, but also other key stakeholders such as employees, investors and partners. Who doesn’t want to be part of, or work with an award winner?!”

Covering the entire payments ecosystem, in 2023 there are a total of 22 awards up for grabs, following the addition of several new categories, including Best Achievement in Sustainability, Best Payment Facility and Best Future Payments Initiative.

“One of the things that separates The Card & Payments Awards from other industry awards is the ongoing refinement and adjustment to reflect the changes in our fast-moving innovative industry”, says Harris. “The new categories in addition to the refinement of those longer standing, is why, even after 18 years, The Card & Payments Awards remain the most prestigious and coveted awards in our industry.”

Tania Platt, senior vice president, commercial, Outpayce from Amadeus and 2023 judge, adds: “They are such a showcase for companies that are really making a difference in the payments space. It’s important to step back and look at what is happening across the industry. And of course, recognise excellence! There is always so much innovation in the Payments space and it’s exciting to hear what’s happening.”
