First for the UK: You Can Now Buy Digital Giftcards for Bitcoin

UK Bitcoin exchange, CoinCorner, has announced an exciting new partnership with Bitrefill to allow its 200,000+ customers to buy gift cards and mobile refills with Bitcoin from Bitrefill, via the CoinCorner website. The partnership sees CoinCorner become the first Bitcoin exchange in the UK to offer this service.

Bitrefill is a leading online crypto retailer, offering thousands of gift cards and prepaid mobile refills that can be bought with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. CoinCorner customers can now buy gift cards from their favourite retailers – including big name brands such as Amazon.co.uk, ASOS, B&Q, Costa Coffee, Currys PC World, John Lewis, Just Eat, M&S, Nike, and Primark – which can then be paid for via Bitcoin or Lightning.

Danny Scott, CoinCorner CEO, said: “We’re proud to be partnering with Bitrefill to offer our customers the ability to buy gift cards with Bitcoin – perfect timing with Christmas just around the corner! As the first UK Bitcoin exchange to offer this service, we’re excited to not only expand our own product offering, but to encourage the use of Bitcoin to pay for goods and services in the UK.”

April Pollock, Head of Marketing at Bitrefill, added: “Aside from allowing users to buy Bitcoin, CoinCorner also allows its users to earn sats back for shopping online at over 1000 retailers, so a partnership just seemed like a great fit for both companies.”
