Fintech Power 50 Recruits Global Expert

With an outstanding Fintech pedigree, Mark Walker has joined The Fintech Power 50 as Head of International. Working closely with the final 50 members, Mark’s wealth of experience and extensive network will help in connecting them with strategic partners in the Fintech industry from around the globe.

Mark said, “After spending the last three years in London specialising in the UK tech ecosystem and Fintech sector, I’m excited to be joining The Fintech Power 50. I’m extremely passionate about the growth of Fintech and despite disruption being an overused term, the development within the financial services sector has been fundamental to the UK’s growth as a Fintech world leader.”

Having previously worked with the support programmes for the Department for International Trade, Capital Enterprise and most recently the London Mayor’s International Business Programme, Mark felt the Fintech Power 50 was a new breed of programme which he couldn’t wait to be involved with. Mixing both the PR and marketing support of Fintech Finance, a strong sector publication, with the business development opportunities of an accelerator programme, the Fintech Power 50 is a unique concept which has been prospering exponentially since launching earlier this year.

Walker also commented, “Bringing both worlds together has always been a challenge within the constraints of Government supported programmes. However, we feel with the strong team and strategic partner support, we now have the ability to push the final 50 companies forward even further to support not just their early growth but the long term profitability of their organisations.”

Jason Williams, founder of the Fintech Power 50 added, “What has emerged from creating this programme has been the hunger for not just another list or award but for a central hub with global connections where businesses of all shapes and sizes could benefit from being part of an exclusive community to help showcase their product, not just throughout the UK but globally.”

With over 450 nominees, there are a wide range of businesses which could make the final Fintech Power 50 announced next month. Ranging from small start-up’s to global industry behemoths, the buzz throughout the Fintech community has been both electric and infectious with each business striving to become part of this consortium of the best fintech products and services today.

Closing in just under 2 weeks’ time on 31st August, the polls have been competitive and the final winners will be announced in September.

In partnership with Fintech Finance, the exclusive printed publication of the Fintech Power 50, will be distributed at global events such as; Money 20/20, SIBOS and Hong Kong Fintech Week. Being part of the Fintech Power 50 gives businesses the chance to attend a variety of global events to showcase their products and boost awareness throughout the Fintech and business networks.

Through this well-connected community, members are actively promoted to a global audience, with the Fintech Power 50 team creating bespoke networking and event opportunities. These will be organised with renowned partners, such as B-Hive Work Space and London & Partners. Through these partnered Fintech Power 50 organisations, members not only attend global events but can also secure strategic and investment opportunities to help inspire growth and innovation throughout the Fintech industry.
