Fintech Australia Reveals Shortlist for The Finnies 2023 Awards

FinTech Australia has unveiled the shortlist of 156 finalists for the seventh edition of The Finnies, the country’s annual fintech awards.

This year’s awards saw over 300 entries from more than 250 fintechs across 19 categories. The awards will recognise outstanding achievements in the various components of the fintech industry, as well as among the services that support them.

Rehan D’Almeida, general manager of FinTech Australia, praised the finalists for their achievement, highlighting the difficulty of the judging process. “There have been some tough decisions,” he said, “as a result, any company or individual who makes this shortlist should be incredibly proud of their achievements.”

The awards ceremony will be held on 31 May at the Forum Theater in Melbourne, with tickets available through The Finnies website. The event is sponsored by Patona and Global Processing Services.

Despite the challenging environment for the fintech and startup sectors, D’Almeida believes that the awards are a great reminder of the industry’s resilience and its ability to achieve in spite of adversity. “We look forward to seeing everyone on the night,” he said.
