Anti-Financial Crime Summit
November 7 @ 8:00 AM - November 9 @ 5:00 PM GMT
£649 – £1899
Profit is at the centre of many of the most serious criminal activities, including human trafficking, modern-day slavery, the drugs trade and the funding of terrorism via the arms trade.
As “dirty” money needs to be cleaned before use, it’s no surprise that criminality continues to innovate in order to insert this money into the global financial systems – or that financial crime prevention is at the top of the regulatory agenda. Beyond stopping criminal behaviour, the sanctions levied against Russian individuals and entities due to the Ukraine invasion mean war and catastrophic loss of life can be directly impacted by the actions of the risk and compliance groups in financial institutions worldwide.
It is against this backdrop that in 2022, 400 people joined the Anti-Financial Crime Summit to understand the latest criminal methodologies, and gain insight how the latest in technology, data and insight can help them combat the risks financial crime poses.
In November 2023 we will once again gather to collaborate in finding effective solutions to put a halt to this criminality and would welcome you to join us.
Over 2 days, the summit will focus on how to manage the dual challenges of regulatory adherence and new financial crime risks in the face of ever-more advanced criminal methodologies and a continually changing regulatory environment
As the financial sector strives for better financial crime outcomes, the summit will outline best practice in the following areas:
- Identification of where technology can help you identify and remove financial crime from your systems; successfully implementing technology to augment your existing financial crime strategies
- A thorough overview of the latest regulatory developments across the UK and Europe and learning what this means for your business. How do you ensure adherence without de-risking?
- Keeping up to date with the latest criminal methodologies, and employing the relevant strategies to counteract these
- Moving beyond pure regulatory adherence, and why tone from the top and human behavioural psychology are the key to ensuring people do the RIGHT thing
